ISDAR

ISDAR MUSTAQEL is an Arabic–English paperback non-periodical on design practices that is at once serious, critical, and playful. It aims to initiate discussions, develop ideas, and experiment with balancing theory and practice, contributing to a design discourse in the SWANA region that is both engaging and generative for communities on the margins of canonized Western-centric narratives.
Language is the theme of the first issue, using all forms of language as a lens to explore the practice of graphic design and typography through sociolinguistics, script and speech, mass media, pop culture, and beyond.
