Belwayem

Belwayem is a playful bilingual zine featuring Arabic, English, and Franco-Arabic, showcasing my grandma’s traditional Egyptian recipes. The measurements are intentionally vague, capturing the humour of “eyeballing” ingredients when cooking. This zine is for anyone who has ever had to pause cooking to call their teta and ask: “Ya3ni eh bel wayem?”
