This booklet is part of “Symmetric, Isometric, and Equivalent, 2014-15”, a research-based art project exploring carceral infrastructures – the material, legal, social, and cultural systems that sustain prisons and extend their effects beyond the walls—through prison reconstruction and replanning. It employs mathematical riddles to create stories that reveal human entanglements with the concepts of confinement — including imprisonment, detention, arrest, and surveillance. between the architect as “creator” and the prisoner as “consumer.” In its revised 2025 edition, it expands to address secondary prisonization and its effects on families and communities, carrying a black humor within structures of control.
