Do the Right Thing

Our Egyptian dialect never ceases to amaze me with its expressive power and the conflicting meanings embedded in the same words. Everything can be interpreted differently depending on how or where you say it.
“Do the right thing” is a famous Egyptian saying that doesn’t always carry its literal meaning; some- times, it implies the opposite. We use it when we’re unsure about what is right to cover up a lack of knowledge or to end a conversation.
